To work for a global law firm and provide in-depth research and analysis support to lawyers.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Support complex research and knowledge management initiatives on a global basis.
Undertake in-depth research on legal and corporate topics using online and print resources and write concise reports.
Provide training on the use of information resources to other staff members.
Help to choose, collect, organise, maintain, and update content for practice area websites and databases.
Disseminate knowledge resources via the intranet and databases to attorneys.
Evaluate new and updated versions of information resources, online and print sources
Assist with evaluating new and updated versions of information resources
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of six years’ experience conducting research in a legal or corporate Information Department
Expertise in using research tools including (amongst others) Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg Law, Practical Law and Capital IQ,
Broad and thorough knowledge of legal, business and financial information sources
Understanding of knowledge management principles, technology and best practices
Thorough competency with relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team
Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
