LEGAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

To support the litigation team of a prestigious and successful City Law practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Work with the partners on the creation of the practice development and marketing plans
Provide strong project management in the implementation of the plans, ensuring activities are carried out to time and budget
Bring a strategic and planned approach to develop action plans for existing clients and targets
Develop an understanding of the work of the groups, their industries and their go-to-market strategies in order to advise effectively on marketing and BD campaigns
Provide strategic support to our pitch activity including analysing the opportunity as well as carrying out pitch debriefs internally
Assist with the production of all practice area materials in line with the brand guidelines ensuring key messages are effectively communicated;
Help to implement practice-wide marketing campaigns, PR initiatives and press releases
Compile client newsletters and alerts and monitor reader statistics
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Relevant legal sector (or very similar professional services) business development work experience ideally having supported a litigation / disputes practice
Preferably experience of dealing with partners at a senior level
Driven, proactive and tenacious, capable of identifying, developing and gaining support for marketing and business development initiatives
Excellent influencing skills with the ability to establish credibility quickly at senior levels
Effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to challenge ideas and convention at all levels
